How to Measure for Roman Blinds

For Inside Recess Mount:

Choose inside recess if you want the blind to fit neatly inside the window frame.

Step 1: Measure the inside width of the recess in 3 places: top, middle, and bottom.
Step 2: Use the smallest of these width measurements.
Step 3: Measure the inside height / drop of the recess in 3 places from the top of the recess to the sill.
Step 4: Use the smallest of these height measurements.

Step 5: Write these exact measurements in the personalization box and mention “inside recess”.

For Outside Recess Mount:

Choose outside recess if you want the blind to hang outside the window frame and cover the recess.

Step 1: Measure the width you want the blind to cover. Many customers add extra width on each side for better privacy and light coverage.
Step 2: Measure the height from where you want the blind to start above the window to where you want it to finish below the window.
Step 3: Write these exact finished measurements in the personalization box and mention “outside recess”.
